This long-awaited sequel to LP1 shows some departure from the stripped-back sound of the original album. This departure is no bad thing; greater dynamic complexity, bolder production, differing vocal tones and even more candid emotions make this record a true gem. It seems that the long gap, and the benefits of age and hindsight which came with it, since LP1 have matured American Football from a good band into a great one. deluded_marxist
